Study on D in Spectral Rhythm for Three Virtual Pianos

from Music for Virtual Keyboards by Scott William Perry

/

about

A short musical exploration of the pitch “D” using polyrhythms derived from harmonic ratios. Every sound in this study including the tempos is tied by simple ratio math up to the 13th partial. While the pitch content is singular, the resulting interaction between rhythmic ratio and harmonic spectrum is pretty complex.

Note: this is an update of the "Etude in Octaves."
